After a delay in releasing her debut album in December last year, local hip-hop artist and songwriter, Boitumelo Seale has finally released her eight-track album Emazulwini.
Seale said the delay was due to technical and legal issues that needed to be finalized before release.
She said growing up in a musical family and being part of a school choir helped her develop her talent as a singer.
“I attended Musengavhadzimu Primary School, then I attended Diepsloot West Secondary School, where I sang in the school choir. Participating in a school choir in elementary and high school made me fall in love with music and entertainment.
She said most of her songs are about different social ills and challenges that people face, especially in disadvantaged communities such as Diepsloot.
“My music is about life and all that we face as human beings on a daily basis. In this album, I worked with Nyiko Ngobeni who was my producer and featured the local music artist known as Skoroza’s name.
“I performed my songs in different events and people showed love for my music… it is available on different digital music platforms for download.”
