Bendigo is ringing the bells of summer early with a new ‘Almost Summer’ three-day music festival

Celebrate the return of summer to the heart of Bendigo’s View St arts district in true festival style with ‘Almost Summer’.

almost summer Music Festival has just announced its inaugural lineup and its killer. Taking over the grounds of the iconic Capital Theatre, local talent comes together with the crème de la crème of Australian artists to bring spring into summer.

Great sounds, locally sourced liquid refreshments, food, fresh creamy ice cream and popsicles on site will keep your dance energy level up with the brand new three-day Bendigo Music Festival from Friday 25th to Sunday 27th November.

Organized to perfection, almost summer the lineup includes 16 bands and DJs who will ensure there is something for everyone.

This year’s lineup includes Catch Black Cab, Bananagun, Gabriella Cohen, Geoffrey O’Connor, Pookie, Phoebe Go, Cool Sounds, Greatest Hits, Sunfruits, Freeds, Suzi, Yorta Yorta Dja Dja Wurrung, singer-songwriter Carissa Nyalu , locals Nadia Phillips , Flora and Aplegate with DJs Joey Lightbulb and DJ Friday.

Melbourne’s energy-efficient music powerhouse Mikey Cahill will host Friday night and Triple J producer and presenter Pip Rasmussen, who makes everyone feel like his friend, will host Saturday and Sunday.

Think squelchy pop-disco, soulful folk, edgy hip hop, new-school R&B, alt-country and a must-see performance from Red Center First Nations female actor Kardajala Kirridarra – the first since their show Naarm in 2018.

And if you’re looking to add to your vinyl collection and support featured artists, Bendigo Vinyl will host a pop-up record store throughout the event.

Keeping things trendy, the festival is limiting tickets to 500 per day – that’s not a massive pitch situation. Attractive, accessible and cool in the shade, it is almost summer.

$82 – Saturday all day/night 11pm-11pm
