TULSA, Okla. (March 10, 2022) – Country music star Clayton Anderson (Visionary Media Group) will perform a free concert on the Mossy Oak Music Stage at the SageNet Center at Expo Square in Tulsa on Sunday, March 27, starting 4 p.m. before the top bass anglers return Lake O’ the Cherokees World Championship to crown the 2022 REDCREST Champion – World Professional Bass Fishing Championship. Anderson’s latest hit: “show me your fishresonates with anglers of all ages and mentions the iconic Ugly Stik fishing brand throughout the song. The summertime anthem, which had its world premiere on Country Music Television (CMT) earlier this week, is sure to be heard blasting boats and trucks across the country this year as it cheers on fishermen and women of all ages to pull out their Ugly Stiks and show off their best grip.
“I’m so excited to be headlining REDCREST this year. Country music and angling, what gets better than that,” Anderson said. Show Me Your Fish’. As a little kid floating on the East Fork of the White River, if you told me this was going to happen, I never would have believed you. I can’t wait to catch an Ugly Stik, get out there, and hang out with the pros, amateurs, and all fishing fans out there. It’s gonna be a hell of a time.
Country singer-songwriter with Midwestern rock flair, Anderson grew up on the lakes of southern Indiana – fishing, boating and playing guitar. As a student at Indiana University, he launched his music career, building a local fan base after performing at local bars and parties. In 2008, he took the stage at Kenny Chesney’s Next Big Star Battle in Cincinnati and emerged victorious. He released his debut album, Torn Jeans & Tailgates, in 2011, followed by Right Where I Belong (2014) and Only to Borrow (2016). Before COVID, he toured nonstop, opening for Eric Church, Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, Jimmy Buffett, Thomas Rhett, Lee Brice and Carly Pearce.
During the pandemic, Anderson got creative, went virtual and got back to her roots on the water with a lineup of Lake Tour concerts. To kick off 2022, Anderson released two brand new singles: “nothing but net“(produced by Grammy-winning Dave Audé and heard on ESPN for the college basketball season) and “Get after that(produced by Nash Overstreet), a song that celebrates hard work and achievement.
