My Chemical Romance’s “The Foundations of Decay” is the band’s first new music since “Fake Your Death” in 2014. Their latest album “Danger Days: The Trues Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys” was released in 2010.
It’s no surprise that new music is no longer a priority for My Chemical Romance. Frank Iero of My Chemcial Romance told Noise11.com: “I think what we feel can’t just be a collection of songs. I think it will only ever be 12 songs and then it will be released. I don’t think anyone can do that these days without some kind of thought or vision behind it. I think the days of just filling in time and releasing a record are over. And I’m happy because they’re some of my least favorite records.”
“The Foundations of Decay” is a unique single and the first since the band reunited in 2019.
