Nicki Minaj has revealed that her fifth album will be released “soon”.
The 39-year-old rapper remains coy about any firm details regarding the next album – the sequel to 2018’s “Queen” – but she has confirmed a vague timeline for its highly anticipated release.
When asked what projects she has on the horizon, she told iD Magazine, “The fifth album. I won’t say when it’s coming out, but the album will be out soon.”
Nicki revealed that she was “in a really awesome place”, and noted that being in this position always drove her to create “the best music”.
She added, “I’m in a really great place now. I feel like whenever I’m happy, I deliver the best music.
“And in order for me to deliver the best music for my album – which is coming out soon – I have to tap into the essence of hip-hop.”
The multi-talented star also revealed that she is still keen on pursuing her acting career and will never be away from this aspect of her life for “too long”.
She said: “Certainly. I’ve talked to a director about doing something in a film. In terms of TV, we’ll see. But I love acting and I’ll never give up acting for too long. one of my greatest passions.”
Meanwhile, Nicki previously admitted that the success of her latest single ‘Super Freaky Girl’ has encouraged her to release her next collection sooner than she expected.
She explained: “I wasn’t even sure how I felt about having to release an album this year.
“But [‘Super Freaky Girl’] happens and people like it, it made me happy.
“People have been through so much lately that they want to have fun. It will probably speed up the album release this year.”
