Will Little Mix cancel their hiatus plan because of this?

“Between Us,” Little Mix’s greatest hits collection, reached a new high of number 3 this week, climbing two spots as the trio continued their Confetti tour across the country.

The album – Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards’ final release before the band’s indefinite hiatus – debuted at No. 4 when it was released in November 2021. Can that somehow convince them to postpone their break? It’s obvious the lans love them!

The trio – which lost fourth member Jesy Nelson last year – released the greatest hits compilation Between Us last month, following last November’s Confetti. “We can’t thank you enough for your endless love and support from the beginning. We all love you SO MUCH,” their statement read.

To be clear, they reiterated that they are not breaking up – “Little Mix are here to stay” – and have undefined plans for future albums and guest appearances. “We’ve made so many amazing memories with all of you, and we can’t wait to make even more.”

The band debuted in 2011 after winning the UK version of The X Factor; they charted in the UK with singles such as “Cannonball”, “Wings”, “Black Magic” and Shout Out to My Ex. Their studio albums include DNA (2012), Salute (2013), Get Weird (2015) , Glory Days (2016), LM5 (2018) and Confetti (2020). They achieved their seventh UK No. 1 single with “Sweet Melody” in January, but were forced to cancel the Confetti Tour in February due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

This summer, Pinnock and Edwards welcomed their first children.

Following the announcement, supporters expressed concern that they might go their separate ways for good.

After all, there are bands that announced a hiatus but ended up going their separate ways. One Direction is a good example.

After taking a break in 2016, one of the biggest boy bands in the world has shocked their fans. However, it was Zayn Malik who first left the band in 2015, in the middle of a world tour. The band members then pursued solo careers. Zayn released his hit ‘Pillowtalk’, while Harry Styles gained popularity with singles such as ‘Sign of the Times’. In terms of return, that will never happen.

Fifth Harmony suffered a setback when Camila Cabello abruptly left the band in 2016 to pursue a solo career. The group then attempted, but ultimately failed to figure things out as a four-piece outfit. Fifth Harmony announced their hiatus in 2018 after several failed attempts.
